Kenosis Life Centre Karachi
Kenosis Life Centre led by Ps. Illyas Akil, the founding pastor of Journey of Faith Kenosis Church, Karachi is working in one of the slum areas where poor Christian, Muslim and Hindu people all live together. Most women in this area are illiterate with 5th or 6th grade education. Only few matriculated or passed high school. Because of their poverty, many Christian girls dropped school at a very early age. They work as domestic servants for rich Muslim families where often they faced problems because of their Christian Faith. Currently, 30 nominal Christian and 4 Muslim girls are now attending the life skills program at the center.
We help to develop their technical skills but also work on their character building through morning devotions, women fellowships, women seminars.
Programs
Basic Computer Course:
Course duration 06 months
Basic Computer Course is especially designed for those students who are matriculated or passed from high school. Currently, 8 students are in the program doing basic computer course, learning Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
Sewing & Fashion designing Course
Course duration 3-6 months
14 young and aged women are learning the skill of sewing and fashion designing with this passion to support their families so that they may become a second source of income in the family to help the main earing person of the family.
Cosmetology Course
Course duration 3-6 months
In the Cosmetology class there are 12 girls right now and learning hair cutting, facial, makeups etc. Each day the strength of the students is increasing.

Before the classes start all the students worship together and learn life lessons from the Bible.
Journey of Faith Kenosis Church
By the grace of God 200-250 people are regularly attend the worship services.
Sunday evenings, another service has been started in a new location in Karachi where 35-45 people gather for praise and worship meeting. We are reaching more than 300-400 persons every month.
Testimony
Two months ago, Shakeela came with prayer request for her husband named Rehan who was a drinker. He diagnosed with various diseases of Liver, Lungs and Kidneys. Our team prayed for him and counseled him. He gave up drinking habit for the past 2 months. God has delivered, healed and saved him by the blood of Jesus Christ
Baptism
Ps Illyas, who stands in the center with his wife wearing a garland, by the grace of Almighty Lord baptized more than 25 persons.
